Single Leg Strength for Hockey Players

Quick question…when you skate, do you push off one leg at a time or both legs at the same time?  Okay, here’s another question…when you strength train your legs in the gym, do you usually lift the weight with one leg at a time of both at the same time?

I am thinking we probably got two different answers.  For the first question I bet most of you said ‘one leg at a time’ and for the second question, I bet most of you said, ‘both legs together’.  Don’t sweat it, that tells me you are probably doing squats and deadlifts and split squat which are all great exercises.  Now follow this link to learn about one of my favourite single leg training exercises for hockey.
