As we approach the end of a busy week I wanted to quickly post a few new off ice training exercises to help you build strong hips. These two TRX exercises help hockey players build the outside of the hip (striding muscles) and your core/groin muscles (stabilizing and recovery). Great question Bob! You are right you guys need to be in top shape, but you are so neglected! Stay tuned to the blog and I will post an article on conditioning for hockey this week – I think it is the number one thing you can work on to help you stay on top of the play and make the right call. Thanks for your posts. Any thoughts on off-season work for those whom are both hated and loved at the same time. Yes I’m talking about refs and lineys. Since we are on the ice for the full length of the game, any thoughts for those of us whom are trying to move up thur the juniors ranks.
